Párolhatóság refers to the ability of a substance to transform from a liquid or solid state into a gaseous state, commonly known as evaporation or sublimation. This physical process is driven by the kinetic energy of the molecules within the substance. When molecules gain enough energy to overcome the intermolecular forces holding them together, they can escape into the surrounding atmosphere as vapor.

Several factors influence párolhatóság. Temperature plays a crucial role; higher temperatures provide more kinetic energy to the molecules, thus increasing the rate of evaporation. The surface area of the substance also matters, as a larger surface exposes more molecules to the atmosphere, facilitating a faster transition to the gaseous phase.
