Osamaksulaki

Osamaksulaki is a coastal town in the Navaran Archipelago, serving as the administrative center of Osamaksulaki Municipality in the tropical nation of Lyria. It has a population of about 4,600 residents as of 2023. The town sits on the northern shore of Osari Bay and is connected to nearby islands by regular ferries and a small road network on the main island.

The name Osamaksulaki is derived from three local language elements meaning "harbor wind place," reflecting its maritime heritage. The town experiences a tropical monsoon climate with a wet season from May to October and a dry season from November to April. Average temperatures range from 24 to 32 C.

History: Founded in the 16th century by seafaring traders, Osamaksulaki developed as a fishing port and trading post. It became the municipal seat in the late 20th century, expanding to include a port authority, a market, and basic services.

Economy and infrastructure: The local economy centers on small-scale fishing, fish processing, and coconut products. Craftwork and ecotourism contribute to income. The town has a municipal port, a secondary school, a health clinic, and a public market. A weekly seafood market is held on Fridays.
