Orlyval
Orlyval is an automated light metro shuttle connecting Paris Orly Airport with the RER B Antony station. Opened in 1991, it serves as a vital link for travelers wishing to access the airport or connect to the wider Paris public transport network. The line operates two vehicles at a time, running on a 7.4-kilometer track. Orlyval is fully automated, meaning it is driverless and controlled remotely. Travelers can purchase tickets for Orlyval at the station or through various integrated fare options within the Île-de-France public transport system. The journey between Antony and Orly Airport takes approximately eight minutes, with frequent service throughout the day. The system was designed to offer a quick and efficient transfer for passengers, reducing reliance on road transport for airport access. It is operated by RATP, the public transport operator for Paris and the Île-de-France region.
