Ophosphoserine
Ophosphoserine is a dephosphorylated form of phosphoserine. Phosphoserine is an amino acid derivative found in proteins where the hydroxyl group of serine is phosphorylated. When the phosphate group is removed from phosphoserine, Ophosphoserine is formed. This dephosphorylation process is a key step in post-translational modification of proteins, often mediated by enzymes called phosphatases.
