Olvadáson

Olvadáson is a village and municipality located in Somogy county, in the Western Transdanubia region of Hungary.

Olvadáson is situated on the boundary between the Tolnai and Szécsényi hills, approximately 10 kilometers southwest of the city of Siófok. As of the last available census in 2011, the population of Olvadáson consisted of approximately 234 residents. The village covers an area of roughly 10 square kilometers.

The settlement's foundation can be attributed to the rights granted to the area by the King of Hungary in the 17th century. Over the centuries, Olvadáson remained a relatively small village, primarily composed of agricultural areas and orchards.

In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the village experienced periods of growth due to the construction of several local industries, although a majority of the inhabitants engaged in agricultural and livestock activities. By the mid-20th century, the local economy faced challenges frequently experienced by other agricultural communities in the region.
