Oldalfelületek

Oldalfelületek, often translated as side surfaces or lateral surfaces, refers to the faces of a three-dimensional geometric object that are not the bases. In the context of prisms and cylinders, the oldalfelületek are the rectangular or parallelogram-shaped faces connecting the two parallel bases. For pyramids and cones, the oldalfelületek are the triangular or trapezoidal faces that meet at an apex. The shape and number of these surfaces are determined by the shape of the base. For example, a cube has six square faces, but if considered as a prism, four of these would be its oldalfelületek. Similarly, a cylinder has two circular bases and a curved oldalfelülete. The area of the oldalfelületek is a significant component in calculating the total surface area of a solid.
