Oirialla
Oirialla is an Irish term that can refer to a number of related concepts, primarily historical and geographical. Most commonly, it denotes a Gaelic kingdom located in the eastern part of the province of Ulster in what is now Ireland. This kingdom was founded by Eoghan Bel in the 4th century and was a significant political entity for centuries. Its territory encompassed parts of modern-day counties Monaghan, Armagh, and Louth. The ruling dynasty of Oirialla was known as the Uí Ch Remain.
The name Oirialla itself is thought to derive from "Óg Rígh" meaning "young king" or "youthful kings,"
In a broader sense, Oirialla can also refer to the cultural region encompassing the former kingdom's territory.
