Ohjauspainetta

Ohjauspainetta, often translated as control pressure, is a concept primarily used in hydraulic systems, particularly in heavy machinery and industrial applications. It refers to a low-pressure hydraulic signal that is used to control the movement of a more powerful hydraulic actuator. Instead of directly manipulating large volumes of high-pressure fluid, an operator's input, such as moving a joystick or lever, generates a small amount of low-pressure ohjauspainetta.

This low-pressure signal is then directed to a pilot valve. The pilot valve, in turn, uses this ohjauspainetta to actuate a larger main control valve. The main control valve then directs the high-pressure hydraulic fluid to the desired cylinder or motor, causing the machinery's component to move.
