Odrysians
The Odrysians were an ancient Thracian people who inhabited the region known to later writers as Thrace, in the southeastern Balkans. They gave their name to the Odrysian Kingdom, the principal political expression of Thracian power in classical antiquity. The term Odrysian derives from the Odrysian tribe, one of the leading groups within the Thracian world, and the kingdom that formed around them was a loose but influential royal federation that lasted from roughly the 5th to the 3rd centuries BCE.
