Oceniajca

Oceniajca is the non-diacritic form of the Polish present active participle oceniająca, derived from the verb oceniać (to evaluate). It conveys the sense of “evaluating” or “the one who evaluates” and is used to describe a person, action, or process that performs evaluation. The term appears mainly in contexts where a describable agent or procedure is involved in assessment.

Grammatical notes: Oceniajca functions as an adjective-like modifier and agrees with the noun it modifies in gender, number, and case, following the patterns of Polish adjectives and participles. The fully diacritized forms are oceniający (masculine singular), oceniająca (feminine singular), oceniające (neuter singular or plural). In texts without diacritics, these become oceniajacy, oceniajaca, oceniajace, respectively.

Usage: Commonly found in educational and evaluative contexts. Examples include a committee that evaluates work, such as komisja oceniająca prace studentów (the evaluating committee for student papers), or a person who assesses performances, like nauczyciel oceniający prezentacje (the teacher evaluating presentations). The term can also describe studies or procedures intended to assess outcomes, for example badanie oceniające skutki.
