OEMn
OEMn refers to a business model where a company designs and develops a product, but then outsources the manufacturing of that product to another company. This contract manufacturer, often referred to as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), produces the product according to the original company's specifications. The original company then typically markets and sells the product under its own brand name. This approach allows companies to focus on their core competencies, such as research and development, marketing, and sales, while leveraging the manufacturing expertise and infrastructure of specialized factories. It can also reduce the need for significant capital investment in manufacturing facilities. The OEMn model is prevalent across various industries, including electronics, automotive, and consumer goods. The contracting company retains control over the product's design, intellectual property, and quality standards, while the OEM focuses on efficient and cost-effective production.
