Növényrészek, meaning plant parts in Hungarian, refers to the distinct structural components of a plant that perform specific functions. These parts are generally organized into two main systems: the root system and the shoot system.

The root system, typically found underground, is responsible for anchoring the plant in the soil, absorbing water and essential minerals, and often storing food reserves. Common root types include taproots, fibrous roots, and adventitious roots.

The shoot system, usually above ground, comprises the stem, leaves, flowers, and fruits. The stem provides structural support, transports water and nutrients between the roots and other parts, and can also serve as a storage organ. Leaves are the primary sites of photosynthesis, the process by which plants convert light energy into chemical energy in the form of sugars. They also play a role in transpiration, the release of water vapor. Flowers are the reproductive structures of angiosperms, designed to attract pollinators and produce seeds. Fruits develop from flowers and enclose and protect the seeds, aiding in their dispersal. Collectively, these növényrészek work in a coordinated manner to ensure the plant's survival, growth, and reproduction.
