Nuklearnymi, also known as nuclear weapons, are weapons that derive their enormous energy from nuclear reactions. These reactions can be either fission, where a heavy nucleus splits into smaller fragments, or fusion, where light nuclei combine to form a heavier nucleus. The most well-known type of nuclear weapon is the atomic bomb, which uses fission, while the hydrogen bomb uses fusion.

Nuclear weapons are extremely powerful, with the energy released in a single explosion equivalent to millions of tons of TNT. They are capable of causing massive destruction over a wide area, including widespread death and injury, and long-lasting environmental damage.

The development of nuclear weapons began in the mid-20th century, with the first successful test of a fission weapon, code-named "Trinity," taking place in New Mexico in 1945. Since then, several countries have developed and tested nuclear weapons, including the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, China, India, Pakistan, and North Korea.

The use of nuclear weapons is strictly regulated by international law, with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) being the most significant international agreement on the subject. The NPT aims to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and weapons technology, promote peaceful uses of nuclear energy, and further the goal of nuclear disarmament.

Despite the international efforts to control and reduce nuclear weapons, the global stockpile of nuclear weapons remains significant, with several countries possessing thousands of warheads. The threat of nuclear war continues to be a major concern for international security, and efforts to reduce and ultimately eliminate nuclear weapons remain a key goal of global diplomacy.
