NotfallWiderruf
NotfallWiderruf is a legal concept in German law that allows consumers to cancel a contract within a short period after the contract has been entered into, without having to provide a reason. This is in contrast to the regular cancellation period, which is typically 14 days after the contract has been entered into. The NotfallWiderruf period is usually 14 days, but it can be shorter in some cases, such as for digital content or services that are provided immediately after the contract is entered into. To exercise NotfallWiderruf, the consumer must notify the seller in writing within the specified period. The seller must then refund the price paid, including any additional costs incurred, and may not charge the consumer any fees for the cancellation. NotfallWiderruf is intended to protect consumers from unfair contracts and to give them the flexibility to cancel a contract if they change their mind or encounter problems with the product or service. However, there are certain exceptions to NotfallWiderruf, such as for contracts that are not for the supply of goods or services, or for contracts that are entered into by a vulnerable person.
