Nordanstig

Nordanstig is a municipality in Gävleborg County, Sweden. It is located in the northern part of the county, bordering the municipalities of Hudiksvall to the north, Ljusdal to the west, and Sundsvall in Västernorrland County to the north. The eastern border of Nordanstig is the Baltic Sea.

The municipality has a population of approximately 9,400 inhabitants, with the largest population centers being Hudiksvall, Gnarp, and Bergsjö. The administrative center is located in Gnarp. Nordanstig is characterized by its long coastline, numerous islands and skerries, and a varied inland landscape with forests, lakes, and hills. The E4 highway, a major north-south route in Sweden, passes through the eastern part of the municipality.
