Nomenklatúrák, derived from the Latin word "nomen" meaning "name," refers to a system of naming conventions or terms used in various fields. These systems provide a standardized way to identify and classify entities, ensuring clarity and consistency in communication.

In biology, biological nomenclature is a formalized system for naming living organisms. The most widely recognized system is binomial nomenclature, introduced by Carl Linnaeus, which assigns each species a unique two-part Latin name consisting of the genus and the specific epithet. This system is governed by international codes, such as the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN) and the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants (ICNafp).

Beyond biology, nomenclature systems are prevalent in chemistry, where they provide systematic names for chemical compounds.
