Nhill

Nhill is a town located in the Wimmera region of southwestern Victoria, Australia. It is situated approximately 420 kilometres northwest of Melbourne, the state's capital city, and is an important service centre for the surrounding rural area.

The town has a long and varied history, with evidence of human activity dating back over 20,000 years. The area was originally inhabited by the Djab Wurrung and Jit jug-nurk people, who spoke a number of different languages and had distinct cultural practices.

European settlement of the area began in the mid-19th century, and the town of Nhill was officially established in 1871.
