Nearubiquitous

Nearubiquitous is an adjective used to describe something that is almost everywhere or extremely common. It suggests a high degree of presence, though not necessarily absolute. Think of it as being on the verge of being everywhere.

For instance, smartphones could be considered nearubiquitous in many developed parts of the world. While not every single person possesses one, they are so widespread that they are encountered by most people on a daily basis and are an integral part of modern life. The internet is another example; while access is not universal, its reach and influence are so vast that it feels nearly omnipresent in many societies.

The term implies that while a thing might not be found in every conceivable location or held by every individual, its prevalence is so significant that it is a dominant feature of a particular environment or context. It's a useful descriptor when something is very, very common but stops just short of being absolutely everywhere.
