If a product is labeled NatriumGlukose, the exact composition should be confirmed with the manufacturer, as formulations can vary widely.

Applications include medical rehydration solutions, where glucose and sodium work together to promote water absorption in the gut, and in some laboratory or industrial contexts as part of buffered solutions. Safety concerns center on the osmolarity of the solution, risk of hyperglycemia, or electrolyte disturbances in vulnerable individuals.
