NTNG1
NTNG1, also known as Netrin G1, is a protein-encoding gene. The protein it produces belongs to the netrin family of secreted proteins. These proteins are involved in a variety of developmental processes, including axon guidance and cell migration. NTNG1 is expressed in the central nervous system and plays a role in the development of neuronal circuits. Studies have shown that NTNG1 is important for the proper formation of synapses and for the function of the visual system. Mutations in the NTNG1 gene have been associated with certain neurological disorders, although the exact nature of this association is still under investigation. Research into NTNG1 continues to explore its precise functions and potential therapeutic implications in neurodevelopmental and neurological conditions.
