MérIMEs
MérIMEs is a term used in some French-speaking regions to refer to "Missions d'Intérêt Général et d'Activité Libérale" or "General Interest Missions and Private Practice." It describes the professional activities of doctors, dentists, and other healthcare professionals who have a dual role. These professionals are employed by a public hospital or institution for their general interest missions, which typically involve patient care, teaching, and research. Simultaneously, they are permitted to engage in private practice, seeing patients on a fee-for-service basis outside of their public duties.
This dual practice model aims to leverage the expertise of healthcare professionals within the public system
