Målestokkfaktor
Målestokkfaktor is a Norwegian term that translates to "scale factor" or "magnification factor" in English. It is a dimensionless quantity used in various fields to express the ratio of a size in a model or drawing to the corresponding size in the real object or its representation. For example, in cartography, a map's målestokkfaktor indicates how much a distance on the map corresponds to a distance on the ground. If a map has a målestokkfaktor of 1:100,000, it means that one unit of measurement on the map represents 100,000 of the same units in reality.
The målestokkfaktor can be greater than one, indicating magnification, or less than one, indicating reduction. In
