Májbiopsziával (hepatic biopsy) is a medical procedure where a small sample of liver tissue is removed for examination. This sample is typically obtained using a needle inserted through the skin into the liver. The procedure can be performed percutaneously (through the skin), transvenously (through a vein), or surgically. Percutaneous biopsy is the most common method. Before the procedure, the patient's blood clotting ability is assessed, and local anesthesia is administered to numb the biopsy site. The patient is often asked to hold their breath during the needle insertion to prevent movement of the liver. The collected tissue sample is then sent to a laboratory for analysis by a pathologist.
