Myeloidinen
Myeloidinen is an adjective used in Finnish medical and scientific language to describe aspects related to the myeloid lineage or to cells derived from it. In adult hematopoiesis, hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow differentiate into two main lineages: the myeloid and the lymphoid. The myeloid branch gives rise to erythrocytes (red blood cells), megakaryocytes with platelets, and several white blood cell types, including granulocytes (neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils) and monocytes that mature into macrophages. The myeloid lineage also includes mast cells, which arise from myeloid precursors.
