Mustra

Mustra is a town and municipality in the fictional country of Veridia, located in the Veridian highlands along the Lorna River. It covers an area of about 42 square kilometers and sits at an elevation of around 200 meters.

The first settlements date to the 10th century, and the town grew as a regional crossroads for trade between northern valleys and southern plains. In the 14th century, stone walls were erected for protection, and a market square emerged at the heart of the old town. The arrival of the railway in the 19th century linked Mustra to larger markets and spurred industrial development and population growth.

As of 2023, the municipality's population is about 7,600. The local economy centers on agriculture—fruit and vegetables—along with small-scale manufacturing, food processing, and tourism that focuses on historic architecture and rural scenery.

Key features include St. Michael's Church, a Romanesque parish church, and the 18th-century Town Hall. The Market Square hosts a weekly farmers market, and the annual Mustra Festival of Light draws visitors with lantern displays and concerts.

Mustra is governed by a mayor and municipal council. It is connected by a regional rail line to Veridia's capital and by a national highway; regional buses link Mustra with nearby towns.
