Muminnen

Muminnen is a term used in some languages to refer to the Moomin characters, a family of white, roundish creatures created by Finnish author Tove Jansson. The standard Finnish plural for the group is Muumit; Muminnen appears in certain translations and fan usage to denote the collective of Moomin characters.

The Moomins live in a valley called Moominvalley in stories that emphasize curiosity, friendship, and resilience. The core family includes Moominmamma and Moominpappa and their son Moomintroll, alongside a rotating cast of friends and neighbors such as Snufkin, Snorkmaiden, Little My, and others.

Origin and development: The Moomins were created by Tove Jansson and first appeared in books in the 1940s. The franchise later expanded into a long running comic strip, stage productions, radio and television adaptations, and feature films. The stories have been translated into dozens of languages.
