Monuriki

Despite its cinematic fame, Monuriki remains largely undeveloped, preserving its natural beauty. Access to the island is typically via day trips or organized tours from the larger resorts in the Mamanuca Islands. Visitors are advised to be prepared for a strenuous hike if they intend to reach the summit, and to respect the island's fragile ecosystem. The absence of permanent residents means that supplies and facilities are not available on the island itself.
