Montgomery is a city located in the state of Alabama, United States. It is the county seat of Montgomery County and serves as the capital of Alabama. The city is situated on the Alabama River, approximately 80 miles (130 kilometers) north of Mobile and 120 miles (190 kilometers) south of Birmingham.
