Molekylfraktionen

Molekylfraktionen, often denoted by the symbol x, is a dimensionless quantity used in chemistry and physics to express the composition of a mixture. It represents the ratio of the number of moles of a particular component to the total number of moles of all components in the mixture. The formula for molekylfraktionen of component i is given by x_i = n_i / n_total, where n_i is the number of moles of component i and n_total is the sum of moles of all components.

The sum of the molekylfraktionen of all components in a mixture always equals one. This property makes molekylfraktionen a useful tool for describing the relative amounts of substances present. For example, in a binary mixture of substances A and B, x_A + x_B = 1.
