Modulatsiooniskeem

Modulatsiooniskeem refers to a diagram or representation that illustrates the process of modulation. In telecommunications and signal processing, modulation is the process of varying one or more properties of a periodic waveform, called the carrier signal, with a modulating signal that typically contains information to be transmitted. The modulation scheme defines how the carrier signal's properties, such as amplitude, frequency, or phase, are altered in accordance with the information signal.

Different modulation schemes are employed for various purposes, each offering distinct advantages and disadvantages in terms of bandwidth efficiency, noise immunity, and complexity. Common examples include Amplitude Modulation (AM), where the amplitude of the carrier is varied; Frequency Modulation (FM), where the frequency is varied; and Phase Modulation (PM), where the phase is varied. More complex schemes like Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) combine amplitude and phase variations to transmit more data.

It might also depict the demodulation process, which is the inverse of modulation, used to recover the original information signal at the receiver.
