MoSCoW analysis is a prioritization technique used in project management and product development to categorize requirements based on their importance. The acronym MoSCoW stands for Must have, Should have, Could have, and Won't have (this time).

The "Must have" category includes requirements that are absolutely essential for the product or project to be successful. Without these, the project would fail or be significantly compromised. "Should have" represents requirements that are important but not critical. They add significant value, but the project can still proceed without them, although it might be less successful. "Could have" refers to requirements that are desirable but not necessary. They are often considered "nice to have" and would be implemented if time and resources allow. Finally, "Won't have" are requirements that are explicitly out of scope for the current project or iteration. This helps manage expectations and avoid scope creep.

MoSCoW analysis is typically performed during the planning phase of a project. It helps stakeholders, development teams, and clients to agree on the relative importance of different features and functionalities.
