Miraaks

Miraak is a central antagonist in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC. He was the first Dragonborn, an individual with the soul of a dragon, born in the Merethic Era. Unlike the Last Dragonborn, Miraak served the Daedric Prince of domination, Hermaeus Mora, in his early life. He was a powerful dragon priest who eventually rebelled against his servitude, leading to his imprisonment on the island of Solstheim by the dragons he once commanded.

For thousands of years, Miraak remained trapped in Apocrypha, the realm of Oblivion ruled by Hermaeus Mora. During this time, he continued to amass power, drawing energy from the minds of mortals through a network of black books. His influence eventually began to seep back into the mortal realm, causing strange events and the construction of his temple on Solstheim.

The Last Dragonborn encounters Miraak and must overcome his unique abilities, which include dragon shouts and the power to absorb the souls of other dragons. Miraak seeks to reclaim his full power and escape Apocrypha, intending to conquer Skyrim and Solstheim. The conflict culminates in a final confrontation within Apocrypha itself.
