Miniatursender

Miniatursender, literally "miniature transmitter" in German, refers to very small radio transmitters designed to send signals over short or moderate distances. The term covers devices used across hobbyist, professional, and industrial contexts, including remote-control systems, wireless audio links, and telemetry applications.

Most miniatursender are compact, battery-powered units built around a small RF transmitter circuit and an antenna. They operate at various frequencies and low power levels, typically from a few milliwatts to tens of milliwatts for short-range use. Common modulation schemes include frequency modulation (FM) and, in some cases, amplitude modulation (AM) or digital modes. Antennas are usually short and may be integrated or detachable; some designs employ features such as frequency hopping or spread-spectrum to reduce interference.

Applications of miniatursender span several domains. In hobbyist settings, they enable remote control of model aircraft, cars, boats, and drones.
