Millam

Millam is a village and civil parish in the Allerdale district of Cumbria, England. It is situated on the north bank of the River Derwent, approximately two miles west of the town of Cockermouth. The parish includes the hamlets of Camerton and Seaton.

Historically, Millam was part of the Cumberland county. The village's name is believed to derive from Old English, possibly meaning "mill settlement."
