Meteorón
Meteorón refers to a bright meteor, specifically one that appears larger and brighter than usual. This term is often used to describe a meteor that is brilliant enough to be seen even in daylight or that leaves a persistent train of smoke or light. While not a scientifically distinct astronomical object, "meteorón" is a descriptive term used colloquially to emphasize the spectacular nature of a particular meteor event. The intensity of a meteorón is due to its larger size and the composition of the meteoroid entering Earth's atmosphere. The visible streak of light, known as a meteor, is caused by the friction between the incoming object and the atmospheric gases, which heats the object to incandescence. Larger and more dense meteoroids can produce more brilliant and longer-lasting phenomena, leading to them being called meteoróns. These events are often associated with meteor showers but can also occur from sporadic meteoroids.
