Metaresponsibility

Metaresponsibility is a concept in ethics and organizational studies that concerns responsibility for the allocation, distribution, and oversight of responsibility itself within a system. It focuses on who is authorized to assign duties, how duties are divided among actors, and how accountability mechanisms ensure that those duties are carried out.

The term is used to analyze governance structures, accountability gaps, and the diffusion of responsibility in complex contexts.
