Metadatakassa
Metadatakassa is a project developed by the Swedish National Heritage Board (Riksantikvarieämbetet). Its primary purpose is to facilitate the management and dissemination of cultural heritage metadata. The system aims to make it easier for institutions to store, organize, and share information about their collections, archaeological finds, and other cultural heritage assets. Metadatakassa supports various metadata standards commonly used in the cultural heritage sector, enabling interoperability and the aggregation of data from diverse sources. By providing a centralized platform for metadata, it helps to improve the discoverability and accessibility of cultural heritage information for researchers, the public, and other stakeholders. The project is part of a broader initiative to digitize and make Swedish cultural heritage more widely available. It emphasizes the importance of standardized metadata for long-term preservation and efficient data exchange within the cultural heritage domain.
