Mesenchymére is a term that appears infrequently in contemporary biology and may represent a regional spelling variant or historical usage related to mesenchyme. In English-language texts, the standard term is mesenchyme; in French, the comparable term is mésenchyme. The precise usage of mesenchymére is not widely established in current scientific literature.

Mesenchyme refers to a loosely organized embryonic connective tissue composed of mesenchymal cells embedded in an extracellular matrix rich in glycosaminoglycans and collagen. The resident cells are typically spindle-shaped and highly migratory. Mesenchymal tissue arises during early development from the mesoderm, with contributions from neural crest cells for certain lineages. It serves as a flexible reservoir of progenitor cells that can differentiate into multiple connective tissues.

Developmentally, mesenchymal cells migrate and differentiate to form bone, cartilage, adipose tissue, muscle, blood vessels, and dermal connective tissue. This plasticity supports organogenesis, tissue remodeling, and wound healing. In adulthood, residual mesenchymal cells contribute to tissue maintenance and repair.

Clinical and research relevance centers on mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), a subset of mesenchymal lineage cells with multipotent capacity and immunomodulatory properties. MSCs are investigated for regenerative therapies, tissue engineering, and treatment of inflammatory conditions, though therapeutic use depends on source, delivery, and context.
