Meltingarensím

Meltingarensím is a theoretical thermodynamic process that describes the phase transition of a substance from a solid to a liquid state. This occurs when the substance absorbs sufficient energy, typically in the form of heat, to overcome the intermolecular forces holding its particles in a fixed crystalline structure. The temperature at which this transition begins is known as the melting point.

During meltingarensím, the kinetic energy of the molecules increases to a point where they can overcome the attractive forces between them.
