Megacelllike refers to a phenomenon observed in certain multicellular organisms, where individual cells within a tissue or organ exhibit characteristics typically associated with single-celled organisms. The term was first coined to describe cells within the slime mold Physarum polycephalum, which can exhibit both unicellular and multicellular behaviors.
