Megabitteinä

Megabitteinä is a Finnish-language term used to refer to quantities described in megabits, most often in discussions of data transfer rates and internet speeds. In everyday Finnish, the base unit is megabitti, while megabitteinä can appear in grammatical constructions meaning “in megabits” or “as megabits.” The term is primarily encountered in information technology and telecommunications contexts in Finland.

In measurement terms, one megabit equals 1,000,000 bits (as used in decimal networking standards). Data rates are commonly expressed as megabits per second (Mbps). For data size, the related unit is the megabyte (MB), where 1 MB equals 8 megabits. Consequently, a 100 Mbps connection can transfer about 12.5 MB per second under ideal conditions.
