Maksekaardisüsteem
Maksekaardisüsteem refers to the infrastructure and set of rules that enable the processing and settlement of electronic payments made using payment cards. This system involves various participants, including cardholders, merchants, acquiring banks, issuing banks, and card networks. When a cardholder makes a purchase, the merchant's terminal captures the card information and sends it to the acquiring bank. The acquiring bank then routes the transaction data through the designated card network, such as Visa or Mastercard, to the issuing bank. The issuing bank verifies the cardholder's account, checks for sufficient funds or credit, and authorizes or declines the transaction. This authorization message travels back through the card network and acquiring bank to the merchant. Once authorized, the transaction is later settled between the issuing bank and the acquiring bank, with funds ultimately transferred from the cardholder's account to the merchant's account. Security measures like encryption, tokenization, and fraud detection are integral to maksekaardisüsteem to protect sensitive financial data and prevent unauthorized transactions. The efficiency and reliability of these systems are crucial for modern commerce, facilitating both online and in-person purchases globally.
