MBRjärjestelmä
MBRjärjestelmä refers to a Master Boot Record (MBR) partitioning scheme used in computer hard disk drives. The MBR is the first sector of a storage device, typically a hard disk drive, and contains information about the logical organization of the disk, including the partition table and executable code that is executed by the system's firmware. The MBR partitioning scheme allows for the creation of up to four primary partitions on a disk. If more partitions are needed, one of these primary partitions can be designated as an extended partition, which can then contain multiple logical partitions.
The MBR scheme has been in use for a long time, dating back to the IBM PC.
Due to these limitations, the GUID Partition Table (GPT) has emerged as a more modern alternative. GPT
