Lämpövärähtely

Lämpövärähtely, also known as thermal vibration, refers to the random motion of atoms and molecules within a material that is due to its temperature. At any temperature above absolute zero, particles are not static but are constantly in motion. This motion can manifest as vibrations within their fixed positions in a solid lattice, or as translational and rotational movements in liquids and gases. The intensity of this vibration is directly proportional to the material's temperature; higher temperatures mean more energetic vibrations.

These vibrations are a fundamental aspect of thermal energy. When a material absorbs heat, its particles gain kinetic energy, leading to increased vibration amplitude and frequency. Conversely, when a material loses heat, its particles' kinetic energy decreases, resulting in less intense vibrations.
