Lämminverkostossa

It refers to buildings or properties that receive their heat from a centralized district heating system. This system typically generates heat in a boiler plant, often fueled by renewable sources or waste heat, and distributes it through underground pipes to multiple consumers.

Buildings connected to lämminverkostossa do not require their own individual heating boilers or furnaces. Instead, they are supplied with hot water or steam directly from the district heating network. This hot water or steam circulates through radiators or underfloor heating systems within the building, providing space heating. Domestic hot water is also often supplied by the same network.

The primary advantages of being connected to a lämminverkostossa include convenience, as individual heating maintenance is minimized, and often a more environmentally friendly heating solution compared to individual fossil fuel boilers.
