Lähtuvalt

Lähtuvalt is a fictional geographic region in the country of Eestoria, created for a world-building project. The name is derived from the Estonian word lähtuvalt, meaning "southward" or "from the south," and is used to designate the southern portion of Eestoria.

Lähtuvalt lies in the southern lowlands of Eestoria, characterized by fertile plains, a network of rivers, and a temperate climate. It shares a border with the Vaaru Mountains to the west and opens toward the southern coast. The region includes agricultural plains, mixed woodlands, and small towns.

The area was settled in the early medieval period by agrarian communities from the south. It developed as a granary and trade corridor linking inland markets with coastal towns. In local lore, Lähtuvalt is associated with migration routes and seasonal harvests.

The economy emphasizes agriculture (cereals, dairy), small-scale manufacturing (wood products), and tourism around cultural landscapes. Local culture features traditional music, crafts, and a dialectal variant of the regional language. Annual festivals celebrate the harvest and lunar cycles.
