Lyngvi
Lyngvi is a genus of flowering plants in the grass family, Poaceae. The genus was described by Carl Linnaeus in 1753. Species within Lyngvi are commonly known as bentgrasses. These grasses are native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. They are often found in moist to wet habitats such as meadows, marshes, and along the shores of lakes and rivers.
Lyngvi grasses are typically perennial, growing from rhizomes, which allows them to spread and form dense mats.
Several species are widespread and ecologically significant, contributing to ground cover and providing food and habitat
