Lustau

Lustau, officially Bodegas Lustau, is a Spanish sherry producer based in Jerez de la Frontera, in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia. It is one of the best-known houses in sherry production and operates multiple aging facilities in the Jerez region. The company emphasizes the use of the criaderas y soleras aging system to develop its range of wines.

The house traces its origins to 1896, when the Lustau family began trading sherry in the area. Through the 20th century it expanded its operations and, while maintaining family ties, grew into a leading independent producer with a broad export footprint.

Lustau's sherries are primarily produced from Palomino grapes for the dry styles, with Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel used for sweeter wines. The wines undergo long aging in oak casks under the traditional solera system, with fino and manzanilla styles developing a protective flor in the maritime climate of Jerez. The portfolio aims to reflect regional character by blending wines from different soleras and vintages.

Its range includes dry, semi-dry, and sweet sherries, such as fino, amontillado, oloroso, palo cortado, manzanilla, and sweet Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel. Lustau also produces aged and vintage bottlings that showcase the house's aging expertise.

Lustau wines are distributed internationally and have received numerous awards for quality and tradition in sherry production.
