Luftgaue
Luftgaue were administrative districts established by Nazi Germany's Luftwaffe, the air force, in 1935. These Luftgaue were geographical areas responsible for the organization, training, and administration of Luftwaffe units stationed within their boundaries. Each Luftgau was commanded by a Luftgaukommando, or Air District Command, which oversaw personnel, equipment, and operational readiness. The establishment of Luftgaue was part of the Luftwaffe's rapid expansion and its integration into the overall military structure of the Third Reich.
The primary function of a Luftgau was to decentralize command and control, allowing for more efficient management
