Lsând

Lsând is a fictional sovereign state located on the northern coast of the continent of Eldara. It covers about 32,000 square kilometers and features coastal plains, river valleys, and a mountainous interior. The capital is Vespera, and the largest city is Kelhas. The country maintains a temperate climate with maritime influences.

The name derives from the ancient Lsandi language, in which ls denotes land and ând is a suffix forming a collective or nation. The official language is Lsandi, with Morin and Talv as minority languages.

Lsând emerged as a loose union of regional principalities in the 14th century and embarked on a peaceful path to statehood, becoming a constitutional republic in 1839. The president serves as head of state, while a prime minister leads the government. The unicameral legislature has 62 seats. The judiciary is independent, and local councils administer municipalities.

The economy is diversified, with agriculture (notably grains and fruit), forestry, light manufacturing, and a growing service sector including tourism and finance. The currency is the ls, subdivided into 100 centis. Lsând maintains a nationwide road network, a rail system linking major cities, and the port of Keldar as a principal hub for international trade.

The population is about 2.4 million, with a majority ethnic Lsandi. Urban centers concentrate in the western plains. Lsandi is the official language; Morin and Talv are recognized minority languages. The culture emphasizes literature, music, and traditional crafts, reflecting a history of regional exchange and tolerance.
